#1main reason is the extreme prejudice against whites if you are moving there to live,get a job ,have your kids go to school be happy, make friends. Stay home on the Mainland. If your children go to school there they will be subjected to prejudice beaten up bullied and treated inhumane for the most part. The young people are taught that mainlanders coming over to Hawaii are coming over for vacation, spending money and taking jobs away from the locals.
The chances of you getting a job in Hawaii too bad if your white because they have to hire so many of each race but once you get that job be prepared it will not be a positive experiencefor most poeple. Do I speak from experience yes I do 18 months my parents lived in Lihue with me I went to high school my mother worked in a department store and lately and my father was a Soil Conservationist for the Department of Agriculture. My mom worked for a department store in Lihue to earn money for us to go home for vacation.Her job was not easy and she was disrespected from local customers well as co-workers.
My dad had a darker skin tone, and passed more for local then mainlander. He did fairly well. He also helped the island of Ni’ihau deal with a severe erosion issue. They are doing much better there because of him and his efforts

Driving around on Kauai is a nightmare because everybody has cars. At least two cars per family if not more.

The islands are a beautiful place to live, as far as the scenery
goes.

If you are white and you are a woman, do not go out alone by yourself and do not accept dates from the locals. The chance of you being hurt, raped or beaten up exists.

Yep, the islands are a great place to visit. But what I recommend a Houoli live there? Are you kidding me? Never.
